I first heard about Tam's Noodle House from my dear friend. Thank you my friend! We ate at their Rowland Heights location. Soon after, I found that they also have a San Gabriel location so here I am with my Mom, my daughters, and my brothers and their family for lunch in celebration of my brother's birthday. When we arrived, they didn't have a table that would fit all of us. We had to wait about 15 minutes which wasn't too bad. They ended up giving us two tables put together. It was a bit tight for 9 of us to be honest, but we made due. Honey garlic deep fried pork chop was the highlight. It's tender, sweet, and has a nice crunch to it. Shrimp and eggs chow fun was very smooth and yummy. Dried scallop egg white fried rice was delicious. Eggplant was decent... it would have been better with string beans, but they ran out of the latter. Shredded chicken was citrusy and tangy. We also ordered wonton egg noodle soup, salt and pepper chicken wings, beef chow mein, crab maw soup, filet mignon cubes, sweet and sour pork, and maybe a couple more dishes that I don't remember at the moment. I didn't try all the dishes, but for the most part, flavors and taste were on point. Portions were huge for the price. All in all, they did not disappoint. Staff was surprisingly nice and highly attentive. Service was timely. Thank you all! Inside and outside covered patio seating are available. Inside may appear a little snug especially when you have a larger group. Their Rowland Heights location has better space IMHO. We will definitely return for more great tasting Hong Kong style dishes. Happy Eating!

We had breakfast here today, congee with noodles and milk tea. Comfort foods for everyday dining. They did get the order wrong though, even after double checking it came out wrong, didn't brother correcting it because we already started eating. Service was quick.

Super fast service and food is always delicious. I especially enjoy their steam rice noodle with house special sauce. The rice noodles are very chewy and smooth. The milk tea is authentic too. Good food with a good price keeps the customer coming.

Even though it's called Tam's Noodle House, I didn't get noodles.. But the curry was great! You can tell the food here is actually cooked well -- the smell of wok-he, the aromas that fly out of the curry, the clarity in the wonton soups. For my curry, it reminded me of a very clean cantonese-style curry from Baccali without all the oiliness. Full of curry flavor with a drier cooked rice to give some substance to the bite. Service here is .. ask and be served; then get out so that the next table can come in. It's cramped and crowded, but relatively nice to see everyone spending time devouring their food.

Kaya Toast!! $5.50 Come here for the comfort food and Kaya Toast of their Butter Pineapple Bun! Also they have Rice Noodle Macaroni. Yummy!

We've been coming here for breakfast multiple times and decided to come here for lunch this time around. We got the curry beef, which comes with a side of rice, as well as the chicken and mushroom rice in claypot. Do note that any claypot dishes will take longer to make but it's totally worth it! Curry beef is flavorful and beef is very tender! Have to mention the potatoes in this dish since it's so aromatic - it must have been very lightly roasted beforehand! The mushroom and chicken rice in claypot is actually on a separate menu (might be a special?) and we absolutely enjoyed it - especially the crispy rice at the bottom if you know what I'm talking about! The chicken is chewy yet tender and full of flavor! Don't be afraid to pour in all the soy sauce that's on the side since it's not overly salty at all! Will definitely be back - everything on the menu looks very appetizing!

I went to Tam's Noodle House with my parents a few weeks ago. We had gotten here a little bit early for dinner so we were eligible for their afternoon tea special which ends at 5:30PM. The deal is pretty good where the items on the menu pretty much come with a free drink. There's a decent amount of choices on there so hopefully you find something you like. We getting the chicken wings which were delicious. We also got wonton noodles, the Beef Chow Fun and the Stir Fried Rice Noodle Roll. Their portions are pretty generous and even if you order to go it'll be a decent portion. This restaurant is located in the CVS plaza of San Gabriel and Las Tunas. Parking can be a little bit tricky to find especially with it being pretty busy but there is underground parking or street parking on the side street. Service was pretty good and they have a decent amount of outdoor seating if that's what you're looking for.
